GUITAR INSTALLATION

GUITAR   Use a long mirror with tilt block , Loctite 6 min epoxy gel

Get visor mirror at O,Reilly’s , glue from Hardware store , velcro on long block shown

Pickup placement is like this picture above :

  1. 1.all strings removed except low E - place a string pin to ‘A’ (with no string) , drop in tilt mirror

  2. 2.Inside hold one of the Dazzo’s with wire going in between pins with pickup turned on ( all on flat - headphones are helpful ) Listen to it - ( no glue  yet ) , hear it sound louder as you slightly move pickup out from the two pins ...louder is the spot you want but not too far out or you will catch bass woofs - especially when glue is used

This is just to hear pickup quickly - get a feel of pickup wedged out from pins   with   since you are blind for the moment

  1. 3.Quickly MIX WELL a coffee bean sized drop of glue , smear thin amount on wedged pin area on plate and more amount on pickup ( not gobs ) . Quickly clean fingers , pop it in , note position , make sure wires don’t drift it away keeping pickup centered between E - A

3 minuets:  hear the glue harden as tones begin to go louder ....

Here you can micro adjust to loudest / best balanced mid range sound  (while glue is wet headphones are great here)  because when glue really sets up you will get all these fatter tones but by then its too late

8 minuets : the glue will start to dry,  signal increases

  1. 4.String up two more strings and hear it fade out as you thump on bone saddle from low E to high E ( this is good so far )

  2. 5.Repeat for treble side

TIP : Sometimes it at about 13 min when glue is just set up I sometimes clean off around edges of pickup with a eyeglass screwdriver & tiny acetone cotton rag so then pickup is easy for removal in the future

REMOVAL  : within 40 min is best  ....

Remove strings . In between pickup / wood  peel point in a razor at wire end ( careful not to dig in wood ) . Push / rock blade into dry glue about 1/4 way in , pickup will pop off . Pop in a leverage tool thru hole to push blade in once its started (pic)

To remove glue off wood :

With gloves, cut tiny piece of terri cloth / tin foil , soak some acetone into cloth and quickly place it on glue area while holding guitar upside top down over my shoulders DON’T GET IT ON FINISH OR SKIN !

I do this with one hand holding guitar over my head (grab neck ) and pop in terri cloth with the other in sound hole ....  wow

Quickly place foil over that so acetone won’t dry up . lay guitar top down for

8 min - check it to see if glue becomes cheesy to scrape with either blade , fingernail etc into terri cloth -  in layers , repeat until glue is gone

Mirror , loctite 6 min epoxy gel , lighting

ALWAYS USE AN PREAMP OR IT WON’T SOUND RIGHT .

WE SUGGEST OUT TO AN POWERED SPEAKER ON FLAT  :-)
